They Made Their Mark, An Illustrated History of The Society of Woman Geographers.

They Made Their Mark covers the wide spectrum of women’s curiosity in the fields of art,

science, and culture and chronicles the history of The Society of Woman Geographers—from its

first meeting in 1925 to today. Eppinga’s presentation includes numerous rare photographs and

illustrations culled from the society’s archives—spotlighting the long overlooked but vast and

varied accomplishments of some of the brightest and bravest women the world has ever known.

Eppinga has written more than 300 articles for popular and professional publications. Her

work covers a broad spectrum of children's fiction, travel, personal profiles, biology, construction,

food, and public relation pieces. Her books include a biography of Henry Ossian Flipper, West

Point's first black graduate, Arizona Twilight Tales, and books in Arcadia Publishing’s Images of

America series focusing on Arizona towns including Tucson, Nogales, Apache Junction and

Tombstone. She is currently working on a book documenting all of Arizona’s museums, which is part of the

Arizona Centennial Legacy Project.
